Co-Founder | Phoenix NW Valley

18+ Years Experience – As a former Executive Director of Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care buildings I wanted to do more to help my residents. Companies have specific “boxes” they would like both residents and employees to “fit in” to. Although I could understand the business decisions that formed those boxes, I knew there could be a better way. In those roles I had to tell good people and good families that we could not help them. That was always so challenging for me as I could only accept or keep those residents that met specific criteria. My belief has always been: that we can all win if we work together as families, professionals, caregivers and residents. Now as a Senior Living Advisor I am blessed to tell families… YES, no more boxes! I get to help these sweet people find the best possible option for both they and their loved ones. Thank you Lord!

20+ Years Experience – My desire to serve the senior population began following my mother having a stroke. While visiting with her daily for 2+ years in a skilled facility, I developed a compassion to serve seniors when they become unable to do the things they used to for themselves. After I graduated from Oregon State University, I was in a Marketing/Admissions role for numerous Senior Living Communities for 10 years. In those positions, my desire to provide more resources and options for seniors grew, resulting in Senior One Source’s inception in 2013 after years of planning. My husband and I are blessed to have all our Advisors on the Senior One Source Team! When I am not busy helping seniors, I enjoy spending time with my husband & family, working in the yard, cooking, praying and reading the Bible.

Operations Manager

I am the Operations Manager, but I am more than a voice on the phone or a card in the mail. I am a real girl. I actually live in Michigan just off a dirt road on our homestead. I have sheep, dogs, a cat, one daughter and a husband. I enjoy long talks with seniors and making others laugh. Being a part of the Senior One Source team has been a huge blessing. I see first-hand what my team does for families and how they actively love on everyone they meet. You can’t ask for a better job than one that has meaning and makes a difference in real people’s lives. I am honored to be a real part of this team!

I have always loved listening to seniors telling stories or sharing memories about their lives and fascinated by how different things are now as opposed to then. My biggest motivation is to remember that we are serving people who have lived a very full and often difficult life so that we can have the lives and freedom we have now. I’m so honored to be a part of a WWII Veteran’s life-which gets me emotional every time. And I consider it a great privilege to serve our Vietnam veterans because I feel it is a chance for us to give them the love and respect they didn’t get when they came back home. You will often see me with my 3 lb coworker and Yorkie, Sophie. She is either on my lap or in her pink purse. Her job is to make sad days better days and she is really good at it. I am blessed to have the best husband in the world and we have quite the large family. Thanksgiving is my favorite but it’s always loud with our three sons, their wives and 12 grandchildren!!

6+ Years Experience – Residing in Oregon with my Husband and two dogs. In my free time, I love to enjoy the outdoors, camping, motorcycle rides, and spending time with friends and family. The simple things in life are what’s most important to me and this is what has fueled my love for the geriatric population. My grandmother was a psychiatric nurse and at a young age I watched her battle Huntington’s disease. She as well as my two other Grandmothers instilled core values of tradition and customs growing up. This is why I value providing patience and love for every client and family I work with. I can’t imagine doing anything else. My journey through all levels of Assisted Living has brought me to Senior One Source and I look forward to assisting you in your journey as well.

20+ Years Experience – Working directly with Seniors and their families has always been my favorite part of any position I’ve held in my over 20 years of healthcare and senior care career. It’s so gratifying to help ease the stress of the sometimes difficulty journey of choosing a new home and getting settled into a new home. As your Senior Living Advisor, I will guide you through the process of finding the very best options for care.

20+ Years Experience -With over 20 years of experience in many facets of elder care, my passion began when I helped my mother care for her clients-work that became my life’s calling. Alongside my husband, I co-owned and operated a DME medical supply company for many years, and worked also as a private caregiver, serving seniors and individuals with disabilities. My career has given me deep insight into the challenges seniors and families face during times of transition, and I am honored to continue my mother’s legacy of advocating for, protecting, and serving older adults.. and giving back to our senior population. Outside of work, I enjoy art, horses, decorating, writing, traveling, gardening, and spending time with my husband and sweet yorkie, Winston.

I have been blessed to have some amazing senior influences in my life. From living with my grandparents while growing up, volunteering at senior communities, being taught to sew and embroider, developing my love of wildlife and the outdoors, being mentored in my professional career, or listening to the many stories from the veterans in my family, so many seniors contributed to help shape who I am today. Utilizing my 20+ years in Human Resources, I assist families to problem solve, work together, and find the best solution for their current senior living needs. Providing guidance with care and compassion to help navigate what may be a difficult or stressful process, is just one way I can give back and show my appreciation to a generation who has given me so much. When I’m not working you can usually find me crafting and woodworking, watching college football or baseball, organizing camping trips or a get together with my family and friends, or my favorite thing, spending time loving my husband of 24 years, Tim, and my two children, Andrew, and Jenna

My desire to serve seniors and their families began when my mother-in-law suffered from a traumatic health event. I learned how it feels to be in crises with the need to quickly make decisions on care options and finances. I had wished for someone to walk alongside me as a knowledgeable resource that had my loved one’s best interest in mind. This started my journey to work in multiple assisted living and memory care communities. With the knowledge and experience I have in the Salem-Portland area I felt it was time to focus on families and helping them find the very best solution for their loved one. I know the emotional toll on seniors and their families moving can cause and my desire is to ease the transition for my clients. My goal is to provide a valuable resource in order to free up your time so you can focus on supporting your loved one. Being a senior living advisor is an absolute privilege and I value each individual I get to work with. On a personal note, I am a former elementary school teacher, grew up in Salem and currently live in Lake Oswego with my husband, three children, and two Labradoodles. My family lives nearby and I am so grateful my children are very close to their grandparents.

15 Years Experience – My Passion for helping people and especially our Seniors began with my Grandparents at a very young age around the house with anything they needed. Later in life I was reminded of that while managing Nordstrom Men’s shoes in Salem and sitting on a stool talking and listening to my older customers for sometimes an hour or more completely absorbed in the stories. I then went on to working in Senior housing communities for the last 15 years. My time was spent in community marketing roles still enjoying the stories all the way up to VP of sales and marketing looking for the same old soles to help families with the difficult struggles of finding the perfect new place to call home. Today those stories still fascinate me and remind me that we need to take care of our greatest generation and remember what they did for all of us. Being born and raised in Oregon my family is everything for my wife and I along with our 5 beautiful children. We strive to stay bonded and active throughout the year enjoying the mountains snow skiing, camping, boating, hunting, hiking and anything else in Oregon’s great outdoors.

I was born and raised in Oregon, and have lived in the Willamette Valley for over 20 years.

I’m a mom of five kids, three dogs, married to my best friend, and have seven brothers and sisters, more aunts and uncles than I can count, and tons of cousins. We love being outdoors – Summers are spent on the lake with family and friends, camping and hiking. Winters are spent Skiing, snowboarding, and having an adventure every weekend.

I have worked with seniors for over 15 years. It is truly a blessing to get the opportunity to sit down with people and hear about their lives, what gets them out of bed in the morning, their passions, struggles, life stories, accomplishments, goals—you name it! Hearing about seniors’ lives is one of my favorite parts of working with them; learning history from someone who lived through it is fascinating!

There’s nothing more enriching to me than sitting and spending time with a senior and listening to their stories. My senior friends have an amazing outlook on the world and on life that provides such wisdom and joy to me. I have always gravitated toward older generations and want to do my best to ensure that their next move will allow them to lead their best possible life. Finding the ideal place for a loved one can be fraught with overwhelming decisions and stress on the family. My goal is to help navigate this journey with the least amount of angst as possible. It’s an honor to work alongside caring families at this important stage and brings me purpose and joy to help them navigate this process. I will do everything in my power to ensure there is no stone unturned when looking for a place for your loved one. I am honored and grateful to have the opportunity to meet and work with so many amazing families. When not working, I love to spend time with my husband and 3 boys who are in college. Three boys and a husband – There was a time when the toilet seat was never down! Small pleasures like hiking with friends and watching movies with family provide such joy to me. Mostly I love to laugh, as it’s life’s free and abundant medicine! I am also fortunate to have my loving parents and in-laws in my families life too, what a blessing it is!

14+ Years Experience – I am from a small town in Michigan. I am the second nurse of my siblings. I have been in the medical field for 14 years and counting. I was a CNA for 10 years and a floor nurse for 4 years. My parents have been divorced most of my life. My mother married a great man who had 2 children of his own. His daughter influenced me in the health care role. She would tell me stories after stories about helping families and people. I grew to love the stories and had to see for myself. I had many wonderful years meeting and helping families and watching them thrive. It comes natural! I recently moved to Arizona to help further my journey of helping people. It took me a long time to make this wonderful decision but I was tired of seeing the gap in the system. My friend, co worker, told me about Senior One Source and I had to come work for the company. I have no regrets and love doing what I am doing. Helping, caring, educating, and most importantly showing love and appreciation to our most delicate people.

14+ Years Experience – Grew up in a small town where we didn’t have access to a lot of resources. I worked in the only local long term nursing home as a certified nursing assistant (CNA) for 6 years before moving to Arizona to work for the Phoenix VA in a community based outpatient mental health clinic as a CNA in 2013. I was in that role for almost two years, completing my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology before returning to a private sector position. In that position, I clinically assessed individuals to see if they were an appropriate candidate for Skilled nursing or Acute Rehab. I still knew there was more for me and through some business contacts I was introduced to Louis Johnson, the owner of Senior One Source. Since joining the team, I have completed my Masters in Social Work from Walden University and became licensed. Being the first employee hired in Arizona, I have watched the team and company grow while keeping customer service and doing the right thing as the most important service we provide. I am honored to be part of the team!

7+ Years Experience – Many hands make light work. I want to thrive in a world filled with amazing shared adventures, cozy beds, and bacon extra crisp. As a Senior Living Advisor and supported by the Senior One Source family, I continue to expand my passion for helping others through education, thoughtful guidance, and love. I earned a BS in Non-Profit Leadership and Management from Arizona State University and Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from University of Phoenix. When not helping clients, I enjoy discovering culinary delights with my husband of 19 years, motivating my four year old son to keep legos off the floor, and watching my daughter navigate junior high school.

I have 10 years of experience in the senior industry, specifically in hospice and now in placement 2 + years . I have come to find that most families have more than just one experience with health issues that they may need help navigating over the years. Being a referral agent allows me to refer not just one service at one phase of life but all services, helping to meet families where they are long term.  When I am not serving seniors I enjoy being home building my relationship with Jesus and building a home with my husband and two young boys.
